As a Blockchain Cybersecurity Firm, developing a tool to protect people from this devastating menace was a must-do.
That’s why we decided to create a secured extension that will protect your wallet and prevent you from falling into a scam. We made it user-friendly and simple so that anyone, even newbies, could understand.
What is Nefture Security ?
It's an RPC, a secured network that you can add to your wallet. In other words, the RPC is like a wallet extension that is plugged into your Metamask or Coinbase wallet.
How does it work ?
When you mint an NFT or bridge your tokens, you're approving a transaction. This is where the problem lies. Most people don't really understand what they are signing because of the wallets' bad UX and lack of education on the subject.
That's why we decided to tackle these two issues by creating an extension to your wallet that finally lets you understand what you're signing. Let's take an example:
- 1.You want to buy an NFT
- 2.Metamask opens and you have to sign a transaction
- 3.You sign the transaction because you think you're on a legit website.
- 4.If we judge the transaction is dangerous, we will block it and send you a notification to check Nefture Security App as we detected a dangerous behavior.
- 5.On Nefture Security App, we show you in a clear and simple way, the details of your transaction.
We classify the transaction you’re about to make into 3 risk-levels🚦
🟢 Green - You’re interacting with a verified DApp or a safe smart contract.
🌕 Yellow - Warning You could be interacting with a dangerous DApp or smart contract.
🔴 Red - FULL STOP. Nefture Security has detected a very unusual activity indicating that you are probably going to be scammed if you pursue the interaction.
Based on the risk level, we will block the transaction and ask you to make the choice of either authorizing it or blocking it. It’s as simple as that. And your precious assets have been protected from scammers.
The Alpha is on testnet and to make it more fun, we decided to create a sandbox platform where we replicate testnet versions of well-known Ethereum scams so you can practice spotting the red flags in a safe environment. It will also allow you to understand exactly how Nefture Security protects you from dangerous transactions. It's called The Guardians Quest.
